As you might have noticed in last month’s newsletter, we’re excited to announce the onset of the HACWN Continuing Ed Program. Like community education programs, we’ll be offering classes three nights per month. Local writers and editors will teach these classes in their areas of expertise. This way, you can learn more in-depth teaching on topics that interest you.

            Here’s what we have lined up so far. If you have requests on topics, let us know and we’ll see if HACWN has connections with people skilled to teach in those areas.

 

Have you always dreamed of writing a novel, but aren’t quite sure how to go about it? In these three weeks of sessions, Mark will teach you everything you need to know to get started including plotting, point of view, characterization, etc. The 100 books Mark’s had published include novels for Thomas Nelson publishers, Moody, and more.

 

Have some characters or interesting stories in your family?  Sally Jadlow, author of The Later Sooner, can help you learn how to research those stories and build them into fiction works. A fun, fascinating adventure bringing the past into the present!

 

Nonfiction writing is becoming more of a competitive field than ever.  So how can you help your writing stand out? Through these classes, Rebecca will show you new tips on making your nonfiction work sing and rise above the crowd of articles an editor sees!
